Here at Spero, we believe that most people have been affected by cancer or know someone who has. Spero apparel is a way to not only receive but also to give. 20% of all purchases are donated to childhood cancer researchj. Spero is clothing for a cause, clothing for a cure.

Cancer is the leading cause of death from disease among children and adolescents in the United States. Although substantial progress has been made in the treatment of several types of childhood cancer over the past 5 decades, progress against other types has been limited. Even when long-term survival is achieved, many survivors of childhood cancer may experience long-term adverse effects from the disease or its treatment. Clearly, more research is needed to develop new, more-effective, and safer treatments for childhood cancer.

20% of all purchases will go to the National Cancer Institute. The majority of donations will go towards cancer research but a smaller portion will be donated to the Camp Fantastic program.

About Camp Fantastic:

Since 1983, the Pediatric Oncology Branch (POB) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) has provided medical and nursing care to children at Camp Fantastic.  Camp Fantastic is a week-long adventure for children ages 7-17 years, who are undergoing treatment, or are within 3 years of their last cancer treatment, or are within 5 years of their bone marrow transplantation for cancer.  The camp is run in cooperation with Special Love, Inc., a non-profit organization providing unique experiences for children with cancer and their families.
